FCBD!

Friday was a decent day. I got back another written test I'd done better on than anticipated, though I think my luck's going to run out soon. (It's just about finals, probably time to start really studying again). Who can focus when the sun is shining and there's beach trips to fantasize about?

Saturday my in-laws were in town visiting so we had breakfast together. In honor of the 10th anniversary of Free Comic Book Day, the libraries were participating too. So this year, instead of waiting in line for forty five minutes at the local comic book store, we just went there. There was no wait at all! We always have a good time. I couldn't get a good photo, but they came with I Heart FCBD tattoos.

They're wearing PJ's in a lot of the shots because it was later in the day and we were getting ready to leave for the drive-in.

The drive-in was playing Avengers as a single feature so James and I were pretty excited. Usually we see two movies and get home around two in the morning, but neither of us were feeling well for most of the weekend, so one movie seemed more reasonable. Shamus fell asleep on the drive over, waking for five minutes in the middle. (Just long enough to get out of his car seat, say "Hey! Captain America!" and then immediately fall back to sleep on the floor of the back seat. Chance made it through the entire film, shutting his eyes the second the car was started. God bless the drive-in. It's the only way people with as many children as we do get to sit through a movie together.

Sunday we woke up just early enough to have breakfast one more time with the in-laws before they went back to Fresno. Then we did some delirious Target shopping. Last week they were having a great sale at Old Navy on toddlers' pajamas, which everyone sorely needs. Shamus and New Baby each got two pairs, but when I went to pick out Chance's I realized he had finally sized out of Toddler and into Boys sizes and those weren't on sale. The result was he got his own special trip to Target for new jams of his own. Everyone's looking very stylish at bedtime.

I embraced the non-stylish and spent most of the weekend in yoga pants. I'm still fighting the good fight to keep through this pregnancy looking put together, but the heels ARE getting smaller. At least I'm still wearing stockings.. for now.. Have a feeling those'll be going soon, too. The goals are to be in the moment, enjoying this pregnancy, and to look nice doing it. Not too steep.
